What is the hardest part of the Map of Value
(Value Stream Map)?
We think that the hardest part is
the collection of field data.
Do we really know the cycle time?
Do we really know the % of waste?
The data are the basis of each calculation, prediction,
sheet etc..
A big waste resides in the army
of people working on the forecast
and accounts based on wrong data.
If the same army is engaged
to collect data on the field near
at Gemba, the benefits would be immediate.
